$3,267.40c
Collected, counted, and contributed to a new community type of special ambulance fingamajigummy

Now that really is impressive. It cost a lot of money for people to turn up on Tuesday, to be able to gather up over $3000 as well is simply nothing short of amazing! What a top effort. Where is the news release about this? Want me to draft one :shifty:

Dude, you are not an expert in exterior plaster/concrete product and for the record you have another 8 years as a Tradesman to match my experience in Professional painting and Decorating (12 years, 8 as a TRADESMAN, 4 of which I had 6 staff)

Paint will NOT do this job
And PAINT WILL lift off this product, especially shit acrylic

Edit: AJ Turbo is also a VERY experienced Painter/tradesman, in fact hes on the board that sets qualifiication standards, and will back this up

Repair to existing waterproofing using Ardex A45

hmmmm so not plain old acrylic ......

By my reckoning, from this thread, there should be over $500 for the stadium already

As at yesterday $770 was been deposited towards to stadium clean up.

Whoever put the message HDs suck on the bank details....Shame on you :oi-grr:

Lets not forget this was the act of a MAN not a bike, not a woman, not a group, but ONE MAN

You have all made up for his sin, and he will be forever worried the word will leak it was 'him'

MadDuck, please contact MadMal for invoicing details, we will get you to address directly as the BIKEOI treasurer (nice title!)

Just transfered some dough too. Looks like we'll be covering the cost with the donations.

I'm happy to hear none of the organisers need to use their own wallets - would have been very shameful for the whole KB community.

Why? The BIKEOI wasn't a KB event. It's shameful for the motorcycling community as a whole, BUT particularly shameful for one individual who won't man up.

Ok folks here it is!
Attached is a copy of the email for the repair to the concourse at Westpac Stadium.
The majority of the cost/work involved is for the removal of the bloody tyre marks:spanking:
As this cannot be removed by water blasting or chemicals & will need to be carefully diamond ground with a very fine blade to remove the marks only and not damage the integrity of the product.
StoneY has been informed of this cost & email

Excellent stuff - will send it out to my contacts.

There was another guy I saw was about to do a burnout with his front wheel against a post but the police had a word to him...and he was on a sport bike...
Not just Harley riders...
This is just the sort of thing that spoils an almost perfect protest.

Thank you, not all Harley riders are wankers......sportsbike riders? The jury's still out.

I couldn't make Welly (for a dozen reasons) but, even though I ride a Harley, I'm happy to sling a tenner into the fund for repairs to the stadium surface. PM me the a/c number. That act was bad form to say the least; a time and a place indeed.

If I knew who it was I'd be knocking on his/her door, but sadly I don't.

The comments here about HD riders smack of the Harawera in sportsbike circles. You don't help matters, fuck you ya big-mouth tossers.

I'll chip in coz a gripper did a stupid thing, but I look at the bigger picture. Thousands got it right, one knob didn't.

Account number please StoneY.

All the best.

Cheers dude.
You couldn't have passed me or the missus then; we either wave or nod, unless half way through an interesting corner. My experiences are the same, sportsbike riders don't tend to care about HD riders.

I don't care what you ride but it's been twenty-odd years since a sports bike parked in my driveway. I wouldn't turn you away, it's just how life is around here.

Donny & his crew from Vision Installations has just called me & are hoping to have the repairs done tomorrow. They are just waiting to hear back from the operations manager at Westpac Trust Stadium.
The weather lately has put the fix up on hold but its looking good for tomorrow.
Once its completed I will go up and take some pic's & post them here so you can see a before & after shot.

Hey ya....firstly welcome to the world's funiest farm..it's a great community.

The point is damage was done and it was reckless damage that didn't need to be caused. It wasn't the type of bike because a bike just doesn't come to life in a carpark thinking I'm bored "Lets do a burn out" while the owner is chanting BULLSHIT!...with the rest of us. It's the rider who let us all down...who know's today he could be riding a sports bike and cause the same damage.....

All in all....1 had to do it and 5999 kept it to themselves.

madmal64
7th December 2009, 15:38
Right!
The work was completed on Friday as mentioned in my earlier post.
We did have a small issue as we were unable to get power within 200 metres of the damage so we ended up having to hire a generator.
I will cover the cost of the generator myself and once I have the invoice from my contractor I will forward it on to Mad Duck & StoneY.
Here are a couple of pic's of the repaired area. With a bit of sun, rain and general weathering it will all blend in reasonably well.
Westpac are happy & problem is now gone away.
