...
My husband wants to know when the badges will be coming out? Good source of income for the organisers and there would be heaps of people who would buy one. I'd buy one to support the ride even though I wasn't able to be there on the day.

I have 50 BRONZ Bikeoi Badges in my Camera Bag.

If you were there - you know you need one!

Plan is to sift into motomail at 10.00 this Saturday Morning and hang out for a while and have a coffee. Come and grab one - $10. Proceeds to the cause.

I've got the Vulcan 1700 Test Bike at the moment if you want to have a look at that too. Nice big thing.

I'll take what is left to the Burt Munro with me.
I should be easy to find over the course of the weekend.
Look for the big guy on one of these:

Not able to identify a link on the site. Got a standard BRONZ badge on Tuesday but would be really keen for a bikeoi protest badge similar to the 1993 ones. Will follow this up when the Wellington BRONZ committee have their first meeting.

They are the badges being sold at the BIKEOI. With the "target" graphic on them.

And at some point in the future the artist may discover that he used an art work without permission, and buy most of them back and throw them in the ocean, thereby valuing the remaining badges in the millions.

How could you possibly miss such an opportunity?!

I will be at the Girly Coffee Ride on Saturday with my bag of badgers. I can't make it to Mission Bay on Sunday though... so if there's anyone who is willing to sell badgers there, please let me know.

The team got a little bit busy due to the size of the turnout.

Better delegation of those jobs next time.

For now I'm holding them ransom - $10 in unmarked notes and we'll see if we can come to some sort of arrangement.

Otherwise I start mailing them out bit by .....no, wait....

Ok, that's enough to convince me.
I have made my investment in one of them badges.

ok, since there has now been two threads merged, can we get a confirmation of what design it is? is it the target one, like our shirts, or a yellow oval like big dave showed?

thanks!

In answer to a couple of PMs - nah - I'm not going to Mission Bay on Sunday but you can grab some to take.

There are some other stashes I think - check with Peggy or Finn - and I see Hanne has published the mail order answer earlier in the thread.

It's the one in Big Dave's photo. It is based on the same 'target' graphic that is on the shirt (a stylised version).

Sorry about merging the threads and creating confusion!

Only kidding, I just couldn't resist as it's the bike everyone seems to love to criticise. Still better than mine, I suspect. As you were.
