FI Light 900 Hornet

Hi can some one please advise
My 2007 900 hornet when its ticking over the FI intermittantly flickers, is this a problem or can i ignore it. The bike does not seem affected, power, starting running all ok. Just dont want to get Honda raped by the dealers.

If it's still under warranty then the solution is obvious.......otherwise video it happening and take it to the shop and ask for their advice.......(the video is for when it refuses to do it as soon as a mechanic looks at it)

The most probably cause is either low voltage, or a poor connection somewhere - probably where the earths for many of the sensors and other components have a combined earth connector. It's a can of worms, so the dealer's your best bet. If it's not under warranty, then get on to a forum (there must be one for Hornettios, Shirley?) and find out where the earths/grounds connectors are, and anything else you can about EFI faults. Check your battery voltage at idle too.
If it's running OK, you can ignore it.
If you're really paranoid, do the start-up test for EFI faults: usually this means turn the key on with the sidestand down, the bike in neutral, and count the blinks. The blinks then tell you wha the ECU reckons is worngA with the EFI, and you can check to contacts for that component. VERY rarely, it will be an actual problem, but usually it's either a corroded/loose plug, or something in the wiring that's bored and thinks it wants some TLC.

I fanally worked it out about 2 months ago, the tank on a 900 hornet slides before it lifts up. Under the tank is a load of earths, it kept breaking the outside one so i re did the earths swapped them round soa nice thick one was on the outside and all is good
