If you hurt yourself on your bike while on a farm is that a bike accident or a work accident?
My boss (ex farmer, until he rolled a tractor) says its ridiculous to even think that bike accidents on farms (while working) are being included in the statistics for our accidents.
He reckons they get filed under (don't quote me on this) "agriculture".
Can anyone spread any light on this for me?:argue:
Sorry if this has been already discussed:Oops:, I couldnt find it anywhere...

has been discussed in various thread, would be bloody hard to find which ones though! Think they are not supposed to be classified as road accidents (location options on form etc) but if the form is not filled out correctly, or the biker is unable to give details at the time of admission, it will be put down as a road accident. Also for liability issues there may be some who just say it happened on the road anyway??

Was a survey done at on of the hospitals regarding this question, and the number of accident incorrectly attributed to road accident was pretty huge.

Cheers Bogan. I'd presume there would be a few people who would tick the most "convenient" box. The last thing anyone wants is to be noted as having a massive ACC bill in their sector. mmmm, pity we can't just tick the cyclist box? :motu:
