Does Honda have a similar bike to those above? For anyone looking at those kind of bikes but doesn't really know what he/she wants in regards to brands, does honda (or any other manufacturer for that matter) have a similar bike?
Probably a stupid question and I'm forgetting the obvious ones but help would be appreciated.
Rider in question, 46 years old been riding since he was about 20, at the moment has a Moto Guzzi (dont know the model) and a 996 (and an Isuzu Bighorn :2guns:)

If I was a Honda CB 1300 owner I would answer........

Be carefull of dedicated model specific forums as they are all devoted to that model and therefore a little biased....I know I am a memeber of a couple and no doubt most of us are :done:

If cost is a consideration I think you will find that the CB1300 is quite a bit more expensive than the GSX1400, which to my mind represents about the best value for money in this class of bike.

Cheers for that guys, any others?
The guys not that keen on a predator, thinks it looks to much like a "crushed car" :2guns:
I keep telling him to get a speed triple though haha

Heres yet another option.
My CB is my profile pic, the gold rims tart it up a tad.

That's partially why it didn't make my shortlist when looking for a naked! Speed Triple was great, but a tad too tall for me.

The main players are in order of superiority :shifty: are;
Suzuki GSX1400
Yamaha XJR1300
Honda CB1300
Kawasaki ZX1200
Suzuki 1200 Bandit
Honda CB1300S
Yamaha FZ1
Suzuki B-King
It all depends what style your after.
I am biased but for a naked sports tourer and value for money the GSX1400 has no equal.......be quick there aint many of them left in the shops.

Actually, although it's no longer made, the best of the lot in terms of performance is the Honda X11, the naked Blackbird. Ok, Honda did it no favours by painting the tank bright colours but KB'er JimmyB has an all gloss 2004 black one with Ohlins suspension. I've ridden it and can attest to it being a seriously fast machine, as well as immaculate. (See photo alongside my 'bird)
As a matter of interest, it's going to a Wellington dealer next week as part exchange on a late model BMW K1200R. Now there's a machine you either love or hate. Personally I like the Mad Max styling, even though I wouldn't buy one.

Suzuki B-King
Yeah what a choice. I test rode a bandit 1250 and thought that was pretty awsome and had it in my sights. The 1400 is a cool bike but in the end I got carried away bidding on trademe and had to settle with the speed triple. Never rode one before but certainly not dissappointed.
The larger capacity multis are still an attractive option but which one  They are all bullet proof :2guns:

AAAH the Bandit, seem to have overlooked that one... and the B-King was off his list cos of the air intakes and the ugly exhausts. I think he was leaving no money for upgrades, not that you need many upgrades on these machines

The DN-01 is the bastard child of a scooter and a cruiseliner. I would love to take one for a ride just to see if it has any redeeming features.
