Yeah, you look good on it - it looks like both feet flat too, congrats on a great fit!

I need to think of a name.

How about: "My fuckin' bike". You could say "This is my fuckin' bike." or I like riding my fuckin' bike" - far less potentially embarrassing than calling it Amber and telling someone "I've just been riding Amber for the last 2 hours and we were both lovin' it!". Much clearer and less likely someone will think you are a hard core les if you say "I've just been riding my fuckin' bike for the last 2 hours and we were both lovin' it!".

Anyway - enjoy the upgrade and keep it shiny side up! :niceone:

I really liked 'Fanta Pants'

Then I did a bit of research on Urban Dictionary ....

1. fanta pants
(from gaelic 'farnter' meaning flame-haired)
fanta pants refers to a true ginger minge, natural orange collar and cuffs.
"phoar, look at that hottie, she's a red-head, but d'ya think she's a fanta pants?"
2. Fanta Pants
One who's Pubic Hair is a similar colour to that of the popular Coca-Cola Softdrink by the same name.
Often a "Fanta Pants" also has red/ginger hair, this is generally the result of a genetic disorder known as Gingavitas

Duh. Keep up eh.

Feck - I can't keep up with the young ones now days.
I need Urban to work out what they are talking about.

'Shutup' was, well, be quiet, now it's 'I can't believe that'.

One week 'gay' means a homo, next it means something is good.

Same with 'sick' - how does that ever mean something is good?

So if a 21 year old girl yells at you 'shutup ya sick homo' presumably she really fancies you?

It is just a form of transport. (Albeit one that provides the greatest potential enjoyment for getting from A to B).

It also has the potential to kill you in the blink of an eye.

Bollocks, my VFR is just a ornament according to you then, as it only goes from the pits back to the pits (unless it ends up in a tyrewall, but let's ignore that).

It has no purpose other than fun, as you can't count laps as any sort of useful transportation. Which makes it just an expensive toy.

Just because you run straight into another vehicle doesnt mean I will do the same. And yes, I would be upset if my bike got wrecked, but at the end of the day, its replaceable, whereas I'm not, and I'd rather I was ok. Its called insurance, maybe you should get it for your new bike if you havent already. Its not a good idea to rely on the other persons insurance, the next vehicle that hits you might not be covered. And seeing as you live in Auckland now, you may want to stop referring to them as dorklanders.

It is an Adults toy. Not a childs toy. I, for one, Call my bike My Baby or Brandy..

Chesire - Sorry to hear bout your accident.. But do we all need to know about how you couldnt avoid an accident?

How about the Biker that got taken out in Tauranga on the Roundabouts this weekend.. Or the Biker that died up north somewhere ( i think it was up north at least)

What about here, can these bikes be classed as toys?

90mile (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/album.php?albumid=2538&pictureid=30132)

That's a public road, ergo you should have been wearing helmets. Ergo you should have been ticketed by NZ's finest.

And then burnt.

Now now people.. Cant we all just get along like Civilized Human Beings? Would've your great great grandfathers be arguing over something as silly as calling a bike a toy?

It is an Adults toy. Not a childs toy. I, for one, Call my bike My Baby or Brandy..

Thani - Fucking sweet ride babe! Enjoy it.. You will have to bring it my way so i can perve at it.. And the bike as well ;)

Chesire - Sorry to hear bout your accident.. But do we all need to know about how you couldnt avoid an accident?

How about the Biker that got taken out in Tauranga on the Roundabouts this weekend.. Or the Biker that died up north somewhere ( i think it was up north at least)

Just be thankful that we are all here in 1 piece still guys

Edit: My bad.. It was down south.. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/6500667/rider-killed-in-head-on-crash/

do people need to keep bringing it up? hahaha this shit is funny! I bet no one has the courage to say anything to my face too :)

Also, just as an aside, it made me LOL heartily that a thread about a sweet new bike can turn into abuse, lectures about the dangers of toys, how aucklanders are generally fags and the potential for schadenfreude.. An intriguing insight into the human psyche..

You can blow smoke up her arse all you like.

I'm more concerned with the long term outcome.

Have you ever ridden with Thani Katman?

I have ridden many many hours with her and she is a better rider then most of the young people I've seen.
She has graduated from the GN250 which was a good learner bike and has stepped up to a bike with reasonable torque and light weight rather than say an R6 etc: bloody good choice.

The long term outcome is impossible to see for her and also for you. You're the one blowing smoke

ffs katman

I assume you always cruise at 5ks below the speed limit and your riding is beyond reproach

would need to be with a katana, last one I tried had crap brakes

Treating public roads as somewhere to 'play with toys' (and the resulting carnage) is exactly why we now find ourselves in the shit with ACC.

I could play on my playstation in the tv room, or I could play on it in the bath... Just like I can play on my bike in a safe and legal fashion or I can play on it dangerously, it ain't the object it's the user.

I think people are getting wrong idea when a bike is referred to as a toy.

My bike is a toy a big boys toy I do not treat it as a toy or take riding as joke
To me a toy for adults is something that you get enjoyment out of admire and love to bits.

It does not mean we treat it like a toy in the sense of not viewing it as a vehicle which could kill us.

Does that make any sense?

My wife classes anything I buy that I don't really need as a toy.

Toy is something you may not need but you want.

you would have been a puritan a few hundred years ago: bikes are more than just transport, they are fun FUN FUN!

the real reason we are in the shit with ACC is because National wants to sell it to the Aussies; there's nothing wrong with ACC and people like you using bullshit arguments incorporating ACC messages and deflecting from the real issues are the real problem.

I'd be willing to lay a bet that you are a case of "do what i say not what i did"

you're arguments are shallow and badly supported, in fact they are largely nothing but scare mongering bollocks

Yes, I know it's just a word but.........

.....it really bothers me when people refer to a motorcycle as a 'toy'.

We need to stop looking at (and treating) motorcycles as toys.

Children play with toys.

Fuck that, I ride motorcycles so that I DONT HAVE TO grow up.

Oh yeah, nice bike. Cute rider. Saw some headphones however - those will kill you! Once the "ace of spades" comes onto the playlist, cops or not, you'll be doing mono's down the motorway!
