Hay guys I’m putting my nsr back together after a respray but I’ve hit a problem, a mate of mine at a bike shop removed the swingarm from the frame and I am a bit lost putting it back together.

I’ve worked out the spacers ect for the left hand side of the swing arm but I can’t find or figure out what goes between the right hand side of the arm and frame.
I’ve looked high and low for anything that remotely looks like it belongs with no luck, fingers crossed it’s not lost.
I just need a description of what I may be missing from that side.
Also I’m a bit suspect of the bearing setup in the swing arm, the internal sleeve for one side of the bearing setup floats around onside the arm where as the other smaller sleeve is fixed to the bearing, I’m concerned that the sleeve may be missing something to keep it in place?

Ok I’ve probably confused people now but if you can help you would be a life saver.

Cheers

There are heaps of pages on NSRs on the web with parts diagrams. Do a google on NSR250 part list & you'll find an exploded diagram.

Hmmm still no luck, from what I can see the spacer I was talking about before goes on the right hand side not left, but I still cant find anything that shows what the spacer between the left hand side of the swingarm and frame looks like.

The only other way is that the adjustable guide for the swingarm bolt acts as a spacer but to me it looks as tho for one part it would not be long enough and the other it would grind on the swing arm wearing it down.

Ive attached a picture pointing out the spacer for the right hand side also it points out the adjustable part of the frame im refuring to, take in mind that when you look at thes pics all the bearings and covers ect are still inplace.

hey its that bolt with the large allen head on it 12mm (i think) it screws into the frame. You screw that up to the swing arm then tighten the locknut that goes over it

at least that is what i did and its still there. I think that annoying piece on the left was harder to figure out

Ok ill give it a go it just looks to me as tho if I have the spacer on the other side to the allen key spacer and take all the slack out there will not be enough thread for the locknut to attach to.

Does anyone have a close up photo looking down the swingarm to the base? Im thinking a cbr fronm the same era may have a similar setup aswell.

OK its sorted, Thinking I was smart I decided to put the bearing sleve and end cap from each end of the swingarm into a box so I didnt get any paint on them then I forgot I had done so.

Cheers for the help
