As an aside, I'm pretty sure unicyles are excempt from helmet laws, as they don't fit the definition of a bicycle...

Defined in local body bylaws as a wheelbarrow!

The primary school I back on to has PE classes and lunch times riding & learning to ride unicycles. The school has different sizes for the kids to learn on.

Thats stupid...

I ride a proper unicycle and I know there are proper races for that. Not a friggen motor bike with a wheel and some skids..

19 years ago i built a motorised one to ride from Poolburn to the brass Monkey. It took over 2 hrs.
Last weekend I rode in the moped run around Lyttleton harbour. It took an hour to get from Lyttleton to Governors Bay. Feeling oK I then hopped back on and got from the wheatsheaf and up Gebbies Pass. Going up is OK, down the other side, no that's another matter with no brakes!
