Hi people,
Can anyone suggest a place to get my Nokia 6100 fixed? It seems the microphone has packed a sad.
North Shore would be preferable.

In all honesty, it would probably be cheaper to get a new one. :cold:

New microphone = $15
Labour = $x
New phone = $300.
I'd fix it myself if I had the right tool.

Your referring to the odd shaped screwdriver to get the screws out right?
If that is the case, then you can go to Dicky Smith and pick up the right screwdriver for about $15. Comes in handy when you drop your phone in a cup of coffee.

What sort of "tool" is it that you need to fix it?
Im sure that one of us may just have that type of tool around somewhere.... at the bottom of the toolbox... I have many tools and if I have it then you are most welcome to borrow it.

Yeh as ramius mentioned its an odd shaped screw driver, very small tip, like a phillips head but with uhm 6 points. It would also require me to order the microphone from overseas. If i can get it fixed around here for a reasonable price then ill just let someone else do it.

Yep I got those sorts of things...
But You can also get the right one from dickie smith as well...cheap.
How long will it take to order the other part in from overseas??
And for it to arrive.?
I personally do not know of anyone who does cell ph repairs...
How about contact either Vodafone/Telecom shops (depending on who you are with..) and they may recommend someone to you... cos people do take their phones in to them to get them repaired. They may have a local person that does it.
