I been down in Wellington for a couple of days for work. It finished today at 4pm. So decided to go for a ride.
Took my self to the pub where we went after Shirley's funeral, (Was thinking about her today) Mac's down by the waterfront. Sat there looking around while the beer warmed my inside. As it was light and warm I decided to cruize around. Ended up doing the "round the Welly Bays" ride. Never done this before, as I tend to come to Welly to work and then ride/drive home, or I come to Welly to take the ferry to SI.
As I was riding with the sea on my l/h side I realised that Welly was quite cool actually. Nah, more than that; from this angle I liked Welly. Shit, I could actually consider living in one of the houses by the water. That blew me away as I had never considered Welly a place I could spend more than a short moment.
 And then, as I was riding around the bays, I started falling in love. Most places were in the shadow at 6pm. But this one wooden house had sun and you could see the sea straight outside your windows.
:heart:I also fell in love with the road. The twisites, the feeling of closeness to the elements, the quality of the surface.
 And as I was riding this urban coastal raceway wondering how fast I could take the corners if I was allowed to try, I fell in love with a jogger in pink who had long black hair and looooong legs.
 That was before I fell in love with the one with a blonde ponytail walking with her dog in a speedy fashion with bouncy brests, while sipping on a bottle of water.
 This was before I fell in love with a tall Maori girl who's chiselled features were glimmering in the sun from the droplets of her sweat as she was running her way to perfection.
 And all this was before I followd and fell in love with the girl in red/black leathers riding her red scooter lining up each corner and leaning in to each of them like she was in a GP.
I like falling in love.
Who would have believed Welly would do this to me?

There is two things with falling in love that makes it sooo awsome:
1. The feeling of something taking you over and compleately stealing your focus.
2. There is no quota. You can do it again and again and....

Dude I love going round the bays.
Its pretty funny on a shitty day too, I took a borrowed bike out in a storm, rocks and water coming up onto the road etc.
This one car kept on stopping, when I caught up I realised why, everytime it stopped a big ol wave would come up and break in front of the car on the road ha. Must've been a local..

I sometimes go on a moonlight ride. Been known to fall in love too.
There is a magic in being on ya own and riding like it's the first ride ever.
I still get this on occasions but mostly at night in the moonlight.
Oddly I never get it whil fishing.

Be careful not to confuse "love" with "lust" - WN can be a short-lived affair :buggerd:

Easy to separate: If I get a hard-on without kissing it is lust.

There are about 15 young girls and boys partying downstairs tonight. Most of them with tats and having a few. Grey Lynn has held me 15years in her embrace. I do like Welly harbour and coast very much...

Good try. But nothing wrong with my eyesight. The 4 I mentioned were definetley females. Se, I have this built in honing-in device that works wonders. But there was a multitude of others round the Welly Bay's that did not register on the "hubba hubba" scale. Perhaps you were one of them? :msn-wink:

And totally agree with the Welly charm Conquiz. Its one of the top 5 cities in the world. On a good day, on a bad day, it always manages to capitivate, seduce, entice.....IMO

Staying in love when the weather turns on you is much, much harder.
