Goodness gracious. A Panther of all things . Surely not solo?

Well, all the best to them, and I'll sacrifice an inner tube to the Biker Gods for them.

They are of course, insane, but what of that.

Brilliant.

Doing something similar would have to be on my "top 5 list"*.

I don't know man I think that if the tires wern't tearing through the fabric they may be having trouble gripping.

Mad as snakes I reckon. The only way I would enter Pakistan would be in a bloody TANK

What an awesome undertaking. I wish them all the best, they must have a lot of confidence in those old machines. (they are undoubtably expert in fixing them...)

Nice fantasy, but the reality is taht you can only do that route with vehicle support. That is one hard road to ride. Desert and thieves is the least of their worries.

Terrific, people have toured the world, including those areas, on all sorts of gear before tho, wouldn't say it can't be done. I met a guy down in the Catlins a couple of months back, touring the world on a '65 Ducati single :eek5:

Cheers

Seriously - sounds like a great adventure - reminds me of Ted Simon's book Jupiter's Travels when he rode his Triumph through some of the moe "interesting" parts of the world...

One day, when the kids are old enough to ride on the road and have full licences, I want to do the Paris-Dakar - not "compete", just "finish" - I figure I have around 15 years to find out what we'll need and save up...
