Hey,

Big Christmas bonus means a new tube for my Thundercat (and some leathers for me!), but I've ZERO experience with this type of thing

Pics here (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/album.php?albumid=2536&pictureid=30097), she's pretty standard as it is, but I guess I'm looking for something that that screams at high rev's but has a nice deep idle tone if possible. Price is to be considered too

Some reviews here (http://www.yzf600r-usa.com/review7.html) but don't know what's available in NZ

Advice anyone?

What will be available in NZ will either be overpriced or shit. Or even worse, overpriced shit. (I know as i made the mistake again of checking out the local shops first for a slip-on for my 600 just a few days ago... what a waste of time that was. :brick:)

Online shops like this.. http://www.bikegearwarehouse.com.au/Motorcycle_Exhausts/Road_Motorcycle_Exhausts

...or this - http://www.morepoweracing.com/Exhaust/Motorcycle-Exhaust/c-1-71-73/ will give you a much better shopping experience.

Great links thanks!

From the second link (first is blocked at work GRR) I have four options - Yoshimura, D&D, Leo Vince and Two Brothers
I guess I'm also asking for advice on what would sound good/be best, like I said I've got zero experience here!

Comes down to the style and looks that you like plus the budget of course.

See if you can find a user group online somewhere for your particular bike and search for pics of bikes with different mufflers on and see what you like the look of best.

Custom Chambers in East Tamaki make a nice stainless pipe. Last one I got from him was about $450 fitted, which I thought was pretty good value for money. Stainless isn't as light as some of the more exotic materials, but it's shiny and blingy...

I was chatting to the guys at Cycletreads on the weekend, seems this new law around exhaust db levels are gonna fuck a whole lotta people off!
I wouldn't like to be owning a Harley...

Removable baffles solve that problem.

Buy off Ebay.

For the price of a slipon here on NZ, I imported a Yoshimura AND a power commander and still had a hundred in the pocket after shipping and GST.

Thanks RD I'll check it out

And no riding for me for a while, even if i could move my wrist more than about 5 cm, my t-cat would still be out of action!
Finding a set of fairings from Ebay should be OK, just finding some other parts like the headlamp mirror enclosure and crank case cover are the parts I'm worried about...

Still got the cover yeah, it's pretty wrecked though

Really struggling to find parts for this too, I'm praying there's gonna be a wreck somewhere in NZ i can rip bits off!
