Hi. A bit late posting. I left Lower Hutt on the wed morning after heading down with the Bronz guys, met at Warkworth mon morning. Opened the door to rain & over my 8 & half hour trip home, 7 hours of water falling from the sky. No sweat, I'm used to it. I was just south of the Tokoroa golf course, riding at 109.5 km's as you do, a simple r/h curve into a simple l/h curve. Going through the l/hander suddenly the front went about 2 feet to the right. The handle bars went berserk, lock to lock almost & as I started heading towards the oncoming car I started going down. F333 I thought, down went the leg ,still at 100 km's & when the boot hit the road it had the effect of kicking me back a bit more upright. By then I had the front straight again & on we went. Must have been a bit of diesel or something. I didn't see any colour, it was lucky it wasn't a sharper bend. All the joys of riding. ACC missed out.Luckily.Cheers.

Good save. Still would have taken a couple of km to unpucker yourself from the seat I'll bet.

I had a similar experience coming off a one lane bridge in the wet, there was a patch where the seal had broken up and the decking timber was showing, managed to hit that doing probably 50-60 km/hr the rest of the scenario is the same as yours but I had to stop and have a few deep breaths.
