Hmmm
Saw a doco a while back about that. The concrete enclosing the reactor is cracking and may leak .......
Plus they took a counter in to the operating rooms of the plant and were only allowed in there for a very short period of time due to the high radiation levels. Then there is all the top soil that has yet to be removed and disposed of, then ........
Not the place to take ones scrotum if you are planning on having normal kids in the future.

This came up on another bike list I was on about 5 years ago. The upshot was she was real, her husband was real, her dad was real but the idea of her romping through Armageddon on a Ninja being hunted down by Special Forces was fantasy.
Most of the pictures taken in Pripyat, the plant workers town, were from orgasnised tours not a bike trip. Some of the pictures were staged especially the ones in the playground and kindy.
The greater containment area is enormous and largely unfenced. Some of it lies in the Ukraine some in Belarus. You don't need 'special passes' to travel in it. The Confiscated Closed Zone requires day passes but they can be obtained from local government offices.
A few elderly people still live within the irrradiated zone at their own risk.
