As in title! The switch appears to be siezed. Pulling the brake lever does not make the brake light go on. The switch works for foot brake though :2guns:

Gave it a spray with some CRC and that didn't seem to help.

What's the next step? Do I have to take it apart and see what's inside? Hehe.

Thanks in advance :done:

probably not serviceable but seeing it doesnt work any way worth a look...would imagine its a fairly universal suzuki part???

Yeah I though so too. Might be easiest to just get a replacement part. How do I take the switch out? Do I have to disassemble the whole switchblock

CRC is a brand name... They make loads of stuff.

Anyhow, I will assume you gave it some 5.56?? If so, it will do not a lot, apart from make your switch all wet and may be short.

CRC Contact Cleaner is the one you want to spray into it... This can clean out the crud and muck, and you could be lucky to get your switch to work again.

Failing all that, I'm sure there could be at least one RGV150 race bike out there that doesn't need a Brake Switch anymore....

Nope... Well, not really.

You look at the wires that are attached to the Brake leaver, and then look for the "Phillips" screws that hold on the little black box.

Undo these screws, and note the way the little plunger bit gets actuated by the leaver.....
Disconnect your wires, and put on the replacement/ Cleaned switch... Or, go shopping for a new one.

NOTE: these instructions may be a little generic, as I haven't actually looked at the RGV 150's system.... So there may well be some bits that are different to what I suggested....
