The Wellington KB New Years Rally

Where: Ocean Beach - 40km south of Featherston

When: Starting from the 30th (maybe earlier). Main thing being on New Years Eve (well duh)

Everyone welcome

BYO food and drink unless pre-arranged.

More details to come.

Directions:

Ocean Beach - Turn off at Featherston onto Cross Creek Road, which will then become Western Lake Road. Follow Western Lake Road which will then become Wharekauhau Road. Follow Road down valley and over bridge, where Wharekauhau Road then becomes Western Bay Road (which is the road going along the beach). About 3k's down the beach will be some baches to your right, and some large fishing boats to your left. About 200m on your left is where we will be. Just look for the bikes, or watch for the stunt man riding around on the beach.

Just to note, the road along the beach is gravel, however it is quite compacted and easy to ride over as it is not on the beach itself (The ZX10 Glides Across :niceone: ).

I am hunting the Manawatu for a hound and horse sitter n then the Beast n I shall be down for a few days drinking and dancing on the beach. What a damn fine idea :rockon:

Hey everyone. Just an update, we will be in the DOC campsite (which is signposted, cant miss it)

Will see every out there. I'll try and leave the campsite in one piece hehehe.

Remember, bring your own plate and food etc as we aren't catering for everyone like last time.

easy to get to.Just turn just south of featherston at OCEAN BEACH sign then just stay on the main road.There is one side road right by a "gravel road" sign that looks tempting but stay on the main sealed road.Once on the gravel road there is one creek crossing that is maybe 30cm max deep and a couple of drains that go across the road.There is another creek to cross but its barely a puddle.
