Public meeting with ACC Minister Nick Smith. He didn't invite us, busy man, things get overlooked, so we've invited ourselves. We're helpful like that.

Meet up at Okahu Bay (by the toilets) 6:30pm. Hed to the Yacht Club at 7:00.

We will have some mufti bikers there to confuse the cahiman

If we get enough riders we'll station a squad outside, but inside has priority.

I will ahve some questions printe dout for distributuon, and of course bring your own.

Tyr to avoid them being the ones that have been around the loop several times, he'll have his answers pat for those.

OBJECTIVES

What do we want to achieve:

To show the Minsiter as either domineering or not in control of his ministry (depending on his replies)
To suggest to the public that THEY'RE NEXT. And highlight that the government has an agenda that is a lot bigger than bikers.
To remind the public that it's not only bikers that are getting levy increases. Every wage earner is going to have the levy that is taken out of his pay packet each week increased. Most people will be paying between $500 and $1000 more a year. It's just that we pay TWICE. Joe Q is going to pay more too.
To highlight the unfairness of the ACC levy system for multi vehicle owners (be they car or bike)
To highlight that the proposal to split bikes by size is stupid, based on no rational facts, and flies in the face of the ACCs own figures
And, since the SUnday Star has leaked that ACC are going to stick to their original levy sizes, to suggets that there is more to it than bean counting and that John Judge is using his position to indulge in social engineering, trying to force motorcycles off the road (I think we can run with this now, JJs stubbornness makes his motives questionable)

Have you thought of the implications of a bunch of leather clad 'gentlemen' from Auckland gathering outside some public toilets? ;)

Fielding lots of calls from the press. Reporters will be there. I've promised them 100 bikes. Don't let us down folks
(And, yes, we did debate the implications of the toilets. )

I'll be there!
Are you riding en masse from Okahu Bay to the venue? Not far I know but do I need to score my sons little 250??

I'd like to see a "decent" number of bikes in convoy from Okahu Bay.

It makes a spectacle, and the press do so love a spectacle.

But of course a lot of riders will go directly to the yacht Club, and as always many will not arrive until 5 minutes after it all starts.

Some small bikes and scooters would be very good, to help attack the "bikers are all rich and ride Harleys they can afford to pay more " scenario

Thats one thing I hope they are realising after looking around at all the protests there are a shit load of middle aged National voters they are pissing off! Talk about attacking their own support.
OK I'll ride the small bike in just for you Ixion!
