View Full Version : Can you put a bigger tyre on a Suzuki GSX 250?

Hey, for the past 4 months or so I've been riding a 1991 Suzuki Across (GSX250F) this bike has a really nice wide back wheel like you see on the big bikes. I'm now coming back to NZ and getting a 2004 Suzuki GSX250 and the back wheel on these things are pathetic in my opinion :)

So my question to you is: Are there any BIG tyres that'll fit onto one of the newer Suzuki GSX250 Bikes?

Thanks!

You probably can fit a bigger tyre, but why would you want to? Do a search on this forum and you'l find the same question has been asked many times, and the concensus is that you are more likely to upset the handling than improve it.

Theres no need for one, I owned an '04 GSX250 for ages, they are far more flickable with the 140? section rear thats already on there. Don't worry about it.

I agree with everything said so far.
The bandit 250 do have a very wide set of tyres, but this is a styling excercise, and not the norm.
Stick with the standard sizes reccomended by the manufacturer. With a very few exceptions this will almost certainly give you the best overall behaviour.
