If the central governing body, over many years ‘discovers’ that the original intent of such a facility is flawed because the ‘system’ got it wrong, then inevitably change will occur.
What the central governing body of the day got wrong, was splitting the fund into separate accounts. That was the beginning of the rot. That created iniquities for the contributors. That created a complex system, which required more and more administration overheads. That created the situation whereby beancounters look at one fund and say it's not performing...up go levies. That created the notion of 'fault'.
That lead to the situation we have today. The ACC concept was not flawed. But the meddling with it, by those who thought they 'could improve it', has introduced the flaws that seem to be leading to its demise. At least as we know it.
Why anyone could think they could improve on 'perfection', I don't know.

Ouch....Do not pass 'Go'. Go straight to ACC. faster:scooter:faster:scooter:faster:scooter:

Over the last few days it has been interesting to see how society/community acts and reacts. Initially came the bickering, but gradually I think there will be reasoned argument and effective progress.

I think progress can be made effectively and efficiently. The recent suggestion of increasing GST and apportion ACC does have merit.

Blogg updated.

Easy. With my magic wand I'd make sure Penelope Cruz was available at my beck & call 24 hours a day.
