How the frack do I get the pads out?
Are they all the same or do I need to provide a full description.
Done a million car and motorbike pads, but can't these bicycle pads out.
Cable operated (not hydraulic). Brand = RST. Model = "Disc X"?

Take the caliper off and remove the retaining clip. They should just fall out after that.
Much easier than motorcycle pads. If you can do those, you should be able to do mt bike pads.
Good luck.

Thanks. Bling blunged.
Sadly, didn't see anything like a retaining clip (to me), though it was like something was holding them in. May go back at it with a magnifying glass. Or a hammer.
Never had this much hassle with a car or bike.
Between the two allan bolts holding the halves of the main body of the thing together is a tiny (what looks like another) allan bolt that goes right through the body. I'd left it alone as I wasn't sure (didn't want to undo something that was hard to re-adjust), but would this be the clip holding the pads in?

Hmmmmmm sounds interesting. At least they are cable operated. So if you undo the wrong screw you wont have fluid go everywhere.
Just take your time. Look at it and figure out how it works. It should all become obvious. Although sometimes those small parts can be a pain in the ass! :bash:
