Hi there.

It is with great sadness that I post here that Dirty Heathen passed away suddenly on Thursday 26th November. Unfortunately there's no details as to circumstances, as just like you folks I only knew him via the internet. He was as keen a biker as he was a video gamer which is where I knew him.

His real name was Kenneth Wardell.

Funeral is in Whakatane tomorrow, December 1st.

I apologise that this is so late. While looking for further news on him I found this site and thought you all should know.

RIP Dirty. You were a hard man.

I can't say I knew him, but my condolences to his friends and family nonetheless. It was very kind of you to sign up just for the purpose of letting his "extended" friends know. Thanks Kojak.

Aww that's sad, he was so young, seemed like a neat guy who had his head screwed on and was just starting to really get the biking bug.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Well, get used to it, Dude. Life is a disease with a 100% mortality rate.

RIP Mr Dirty Heathen, Sir.

His appendix burst before he got to the operating table.
Well, that really REALLY sucks.
You'd think that with modern medicine, that sort of thing wouldn't happen. However (but!) having had the same thing happen to me (minus the dying part), I can understand that. You'd think the diagnosis would be pretty straight forward: severe abdominal pain, localised on the right-hand side, but despite being poked'n'prodded by three or four different 'doctors' on three separate occasions, none of them seemed to be sure. The final diagnosis was, "Um...ah... dunno. But if you're in that much discomfort despite being on painkillers, I guess we'd better admit you and see what's what..."

It seems I was lucky then - I didn't realise it was still a fatal malady nowadays.

i don't no the full story mate but from what i understand is that he was in a bit of pain for most of the day and was already in trouble before he got to a&e. But i only have this info on second hand information.
