Indeed - I just cannot see a positive spin for calling people white mother fuckers.
His core voters will still support him because its a view that they share. Moderates who did vote for him will leave over it.
Now the Maori party will be seen as supporting that view. They better have good spin doctors.

Normally they just come out and say something really stupid.
I expect they will stay true to form.
Personally I'm not surprised with the Maori party, after all, they would never get my vote anyway so...meh.
But John Key has shown himself to be a worm, That was the time to stand up and do the required deed.

The only surprising bit is that they bothered to go through the motions of considering booting him out

What's up with the guy? He's got no balls.....
There has been a few incidents where it has been his duty to stand up and rake the coals, defend himself, get angry, or at least get a little aggressive.
It's like he's just an empty sack with a monotonous urge to be popular, rather than assertive, defensive and strong.
He's the PM for christs sake, I think Mein Fuhrer Helen had bigger kahones.

I think he will just let the wind blow him in any direction as long as he gets through the legislation he wants to.

You guys do know he is not the leader of the Maori party right?
He can discuss it with them - but cannot control their decisions - this issue is owned by the Maori party - not Key.

Thats true but I feel he should have condemned the emails and the actions. Of course he wont because regardless of what he feels or knows is right, he can't afford to upset his coalition partner.

Maori party done exactly as expected. They don't care that he called Kiwis a bunch of White Motherfuckers, They have been hearing it all their lives, Its a common sentiment, I heard it a lot as a kid, had it thrown in my face in Maori communities, Sure it wasn't voiced by the community leaders (from what I witnessed),But they sure as hell sat back and let it be said.
All the Maori party were worried about was his actions threatening future overseas junkets and the possible political and public backlash, The backlash never happened so its a case of ,As you were, Motherfuckers.
Key should have shown some balls, Told them it was unacceptable, and they weren't to sit at the table with him until it was sorted.
And you can bet your last dollar it would have been sorted real quick.
And if not, They would be the ones to suffer for their actions.

Its fairly fucked to publicly accept racism.
I just can't take the maori party seriously. Maybe they should team up with the serious party but, then they don't agree with racism.

She sure did and everyone hated her guts...

No, not surprising at all. Higher ranking politicians have gotten away with all sorts of shit which the lower-down-the-pecking-order would have been crucified for.

Did I not hear him saying tonight on the news that Maori can't be racist? All because you can only be racist when you don't hold da powa.

NZ Post have released a limited edition Hone Harawira postage stamp. Initial feedback from consumers was that the stamps glue was ineffective as the stamps would not stick to an envelope. Hone Harawira commissioned an independent review funded by tax payer dollars which simply concluded that people were spitting on the wrong side of the stamp.
