Deck cleaner?

What is the best mix or straight out of the bottle cleaner to clean a deck?
Its H3 timber and has gone a little black in places. I have water blasted it once before and it cleaned up alright but, it also went a bit furry for want of a better word. Its fine now, just needs a spruce up.
I dont want to go that way again so what should I use?

I put Thompson's wood preserver on the deck after I built it. It was like brushing on petrol, as it just sank into the wood so quickly. Worked really well and the water did not sit on the surface.
Nowadays the waterblaster comes out every spring, for a quick spruce up.
