Hi everyone,

I've contacted alot of my flag marshalls that I used last year to see if they were interested in being a flag marshall for me again this year in Taupo, on December 27th and 28th. Quite a few are away at that time, so are unable to help me out.
So I am therefore putting out a request for about 5-6 more marshalls for both days. Experience in flag marshalling would be preferred.

This year the schedule is different than last year.

Sunday December 27th:
Practice for all classes in the morning until 1:30pm.
The BADD (Bikers Against Drunk Drivers) 3 hour endurance race starts at 2:00pm. We now have 34 entrants - some from as far away as Australia!!
3 ex-World Superbike riders, Fred Merkel, Robbie Phillis and our own Andrew Stroud we be racing head to head!!
There will be a HUGE free feed after the prizegiving at 6:00pm, followed by a live band until 9:00pm.
Then the legends Fred Merkel, Robbie Phillis, Andrew Stroud and even Aaron Slight will hold a questions & answer discussion!

Monday December 28th:
Qualifying in the morning for all the Taupo Road Race Spectacular classes. Racing from 10:30. There will be 20 races in total!!

Marshalls get paid $80 each per day, and are invited to join in our BBQ's that we have on both nights.

If this sounds like you, please PM me, or e-mail me on andy.scrivener@clear.net.nz or contact me on 027 604 5116.

Regards,

Andy Scrivener.

Any details on accomodation?

Are your marshalls flag wavers, or do they attend incidents etc?

Free camping for competitors and marshalls at the track on the 26th - 28th. Showers also available.

Marshalls do primarily wave flags, but if there is a serious incident, then they do have to get involved. But we do have 2 recovery crews present.

Competitors (and marshalls) can camp at the new end on the 26th from 7:00pm. I have a security guard that will let you into the grounds and will be there all night.
The showers at the new end will be available on the 27th from 6-9am and 6-9pm, and 28th morning from 6-9am.
