Hey everyone,
Hoping someone can help me out or has some suggestions, here's the story:
A couple of months ago my bike go blown over in the wind and smashed its indicator, I drained the carb and the bike started fine. Bike had to sit for a month while I tracked down a new indicator. Got the indicator on and then the bike wouldn't start (turns over but no ignition).
I have had a look at the carb, its nice and clean, and have cleaned the plugs (bit sooty) but still no love.

Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks

Tis odd indeed, bike was running fine you hook up a new indicator and its a no go if i read right, cant imagine its anything to do with fuel,it was fine then it sat for a month,no worrys there mine sits around for 6 months and still starts fine. When you replaced the indicator was it just a matter of plugging existing wires to it or did you do anything else?I would start with checking the fuses then remove a plug and turn it over to check for spark.

A bike needs three things to start:

Fuel. Check that the plug is "wet" from fuel when you take it out after she does not want to start.

Air. No air and the fuel will not burn. Normally a clogged airfilter or a jammed choke.

Spark. Can be checked with pug out and winding over.

If you have those three and still does not work then you have a mechanical fault (timing out, valves blown, hole in piston, etc.) But that is highly unlikely in your case.

Does she have a kill switch in the sidestand that you have forgotten about? Or have you forgotten to push the kill switch to on???
