...what a nice feeling.

It got close to me having to park the bike and car. As of today I am proud to say I am demerit free and going to keep it that way.

So if you see me riding like an old nana out there. Tough :bleh:

What's a demerit?

MadDuck
4th December 2009, 20:35
de·mer·it (dĭ-měr'ĭt)
n.

A quality or characteristic deserving of blame or censure; a fault.

Absence of merit.

A mark made against one's record for a fault or for misconduct.

A baseless and besmirching notation made against the computer record and character of innocent Kiwibikers that are totally misunderstood by the Police after not accepting the fact that being a KBer renders us immune to the other immutable laws of physics whereupon we can speed and corner with impunity!

(how'd I do?)

Hmmm...not bad. But I have to admit to not being so innocent with my last rather large ticket.

As for being immune...hmmmm. Let the KB masses spout forth as they usually do...uninformed with fury

I don't understand why people seem to get so many demerits. I enjoy riding/driving very fast and I've never had any demerits. Just don't do illegal stuff in front of cops. It's not that hard.

What speed on a pushie starts reaching "dangerous use" territory - or is that only for motorised modes?

Good on ya MadDuck. But forget the demerits, the plus side is your more likely to stay among the living riding like a nana - I don't want to see another biker RIP thread this year.

Why don't you come along to an AMCC track day? Loads of fun. Safe place to get rid of the need for speed, and their are instructors to help you improve your riding.

What's a demerit?

An infraction in meatspace.

Still not getting. Who gives out these infractions?

Just to be inflammatory, cos this thread is nowhere near rabid enough!
