I had a gasgas, it was pretty good to ride, and the engine was good. But I found that bits used to break quite a bit, only little stuff like plastics, but it was annoying. Just don't seem as hardy as the jappa's.

Found that parts were not as hard to get as people made out also.

Yer early 400`s one of the first injected, some had problems, think they were ok by 2006, But think they were 450? by 06.Regard plastic bits,on early ones, most are exactly the same as Japaness bits.Kawasaki interchangable most of them.

By 06 all the bugs that the earlier versions had, have been sorted.
also if it is an 06 then its a 450 not a 400.

all the help you could want will be here http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/index.php although, the site is down at the moment as the server that was running out of the guys garage has crashed...

I did a bit of research on these a couple of years ago. Check year again, might be a left over sold in 06? The earlier 400s (sorry, don't know year they sorted it) had a few electrical issues, main one is battery charging problems. With FI and flat batt you can end up stuck out in the back-blocks with a bike that wont run.
