Hey guys i know its a bit short notice but i need some advice on my bike. im gonna change the oil on it for the first time since i brought it (hold back, please) and im trying to work out how to get to the filter.
i have a parts diagram here (http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/400_0483/oil_pump_oil_filter/oil_pump_oil_filter.cfm?man=ka&groupid=3140&parent=3020) and i think its part 16099. It looks realtivly easy to get to and i think i recognise the disc at the bottom of that lot. so am i on the right track here? and if i am does it just unscrew or unbolt or do i need a special tool?
Cheers
DN

Yup, drain the oil, then unscrew that big bolt on that funny saucer and there is the filter.

Please keep oil changes regular though :(

Make sure you use a decent quality bike oil too. I'd recommend a semi-synthetic oil, I've used Putoline DX4 (I think it's called) semi synthetic 4 stroke oil and it seems good, but I'm sure there's other good brands too.

The right oil can make a big difference to how the gearbox feels. Changing gear can be a lot noisier/clunkier and finding neutral can be difficult with a low quality oil.

Good luck mate, its a proud feeling knowing you have changed your OWN oil for the first time
