So people, bent it twice now, really not keen to pay $200.70 for a genuine yamaha lever, anyone know of one lying around in a wreakers, or maybe a aftermarket one that could source from the states?
Or even someone who could bend it back into shape :)
Thoughts?
Cheers

Why not try fixing it yourself? Nothing to lose really.
Applying heat makes a difference - oven, gas torch or camp fire - even just a little - makes it much less likely to snap

then once you fix it get one of those wire things that attach to it so it can't bend to far

Alloy or steel?
You could easily weld up a new one using the existing spline mount. Maybe put a folding tip on it to take some of the force next time. :niceone:

rub it with soft cake of soap
put it in vice and heat with primus torch- the ones plumbers have- you should get one- very useful
when the soap turns black - it is at right temp to bend back.
let it cool naturaly

brake snake is just a bit of trace/snare wire couple off crimps and some plastic tube very easy to make up bits are available from a fishing shop etc clear tubeing can be got at mitre ten or plastic box or you could go fancy and get some fancy coloured silicon tubeing from one of the many boy racer parts shops or probaly even supercheap could even match up all your carb lines at the same time extra bling
that said I did get a premade one in a packet from zen lol
just bend the brake lever if you can't be arsed having a go take it to your local panel beater with some beer

RedBaron has a rack with quite a collection, you may be able to find one that is exactly the same. Otherwise, as others have said, heat. Or take it to the local engineering shop and ask them to straighten it.
