Free Coro Dirt Ride tomorrow - four spaces left!

Im putting on a free ride day at my private enduro loop.
Saturday 12 December. Starts at 12 midday after the Waihi Santa Parade:banana::banana:

Room for 10 riders- we have 6 confirmed.

There is a bit of everything up there- trust me!:laugh:

suits all abilities, we will do a bit of training on slippery clay, hit some ruts, tackle the giants staircase hillclimb and have a few hot laps to see whos best!
Chance to explore some old goldmines and even ride your bike underground:Punk:!

So if there is less than four of you- book here and see you tomorrow at Waihis Info Centre at 12.00pm.- we ride till 5 or 6ish. Bring a torch

I'd give my right arm to come and ride your trails and see the mines etc but if I do the wife will have my arse for not doing our house that I've put riding in front of for 3 years! She's ready to pack up LOL!!!

Just got back from this trip with Cave Weta, and what a day!

My daughter (15) and I turn up, and we were more than a little surprised at the terrain we would be riding on. This was emphatically not a ride around a grassy paddock, but a climb up and down some wicked bush tracks - what a place! Unreal!

My daughter (6L) has some good skills on the road and some good general bike knowledge, but in the bush this was a whole new ball game. To her credit, after a lap of the hill and about four offs, she was past being scared of the Cavallo 230 and kicked it into submission, and back came the grin on her face, but if you knew Alexandra you would know why.

I hired Stu's 450 and as soon as I got it down the first track I wished I had the 230. It's nothing less than a fucking animal on those tracks. After a few laps I came to terms with it and just stood up and let it have its head. Just don't even think of riding this thing unless you have recent experience on one, or unless you are prepared to spend a lot of time coming to grips with it. Just ride his 230's.

I'd never been in a gold mine before, so that was really interesting. The whole area is loaded with history and riddled with the remains of a bygone era, and you can really feel it and see it.

Stu, thanks for a grand day out. We are both trashed, but exhilarated. Epic!

I too went ""över the top"" and rate the ride/day/experience as one of the best.
Stu has a brilliant setup,the track was a great mix of single track,forest trail and muddy bog holes,all of it rideable,the gold mines are just stunning.Stu was the perfect host, always there with a hand when needed.
Just brings home the fact that we live in a superbe country,got home shattered but we great memories.life will be simple now that i've been ""over the top""

Thanks you guys! I too had a bloody good day. It was great to be in the company of competant riders. It means that I can have a bit of a fang round myself.

Dangerous Bastard - your daughter quadrupled her ability and confidence in just 1 afternoon. Im sure that she will be a lot safer on her roadbike now she knows what sliding feels like.

:2thumbsup Thanks Stu, that is a great loop - variety & challenging but all rideable. Riding highlights were the single track thru the pigfern, the flooded tunnel & the hillclimb. We were all much faster on our last lap but of course it would be more difficult when wet!
