A generous employer of a local KBer has printed some 2000 petition forms free of charge. I have them, so anyone who wants to get a bunch, please let me know.
Ideally I'd like to send a few hundred or so to each regional co-ordinator for distribution at the local level.

Has anyone contacted David Parker to ask whether, in light of the new levy announcement, he is still pursuing the petition in it's current exact wording?

Reading the wording on the petition, nothing needs to change.
The wording is...

We believe motorcycle riders have been unfairly singled out in a way which undermines the no fault compensation principles of ACC, and we request that the House of Representatives:
1. Call on the National Government to reverse excessive increases in ACC levies for motorcyclists and to reverse any plans for private insurers to take over parts of ACC.
2. Call on the National Government to note that there is no 'crisis' in ACC when economists and actuaries have shown that ACC took in $1 billion more than it paid for in claims last year.

I suppose rather, I meant is David Parker still putting his name to the petition (and is he prepared to follow through with it) in the light of the new announcement?

Anyone heard back from David Parker yet?????

If he turns around and says that in the light of the revised levy amounts he will not be pursuing any action regarding the petition then the names we are collecting will be worthless.

Oooops, thanks for the reminder...I got an email from Rick Barker the other day. The petition is still going...nothing has changed. He is also looking to set up a BRONZ 'chapter' in HB.

Thanks John - (although I think it would still be a good idea to get a response from David Parker himself, as it's his name on the petition).
