My second time this year. Family commitments have kept me away in the past, so last year I said sod the faily and went to Wanganui. Awesome time. Prefer the setup to Paeroa. Don't know why, just do.

I got pissed-off with all the deer fences making it hard to get a spot to take photos so I was going to give the road courses a miss this summer. Circumstances have changed, however, and I'll be in Wanganui again -

Good God no! I've been about 8 times in the last 10 years, and my SV has even been raced on the circuit by my ex (his GSXR600 had a problem at the time), so as it was Christmas, and me being kind (mug more like it), let him take my bike. Came 10th in both races too :2thumbsup

Last year there were heaps of bikes, parked down the bottom by the supermarket. In fact there were heaps of bikes parked every where, on the roadside. We left ours up at the motel and legged it down.

Well I have to say the races were bloody good. I really loved watching the Motards in action, particularly the leading two who fought it out in all the races and leaved the rest of the field behind.

One funny moment came during the pre 63 classic where some guys Norton lost his left muffler so its back end was still attached to the rear of the bike but dragging the rest behind him.

Good all up and wil be going next year.

Oh and lets not forget the track girls too. :niceone:

Guy? I dunno if Tracey would like being called a guy? although if she was that would explain Sidecarbobs gayness

Awesome day out in Wangavegas. :2thumbsup Rode up with a mate from Welly and we spent the day in awe of the lads and lasses hurtling around the circuit. It just gets better and better each time I go. Funniest part of the day was watching the two guys having a punch up beside the Warehouse while the bikes were racing. No idea what they were fighting about but it provided entertainment while waiting for the bikes to complete the lap and come round again!

I was a circuit virgin but couldn't have picked a better year to start. Awesome weather for a run from Palmie with a couple of CD'ers:ride:
Caught up with loads of guys from the CDMTC, the napier crew, fellow Duckies and Billy T James' twin from New Plymouth.
Didn't get called out so could have worn shorts after all
Have a bikers tan now too.
Great racing, really enjoyed the 'Italian job' in the motards and the post classic rider on the Kwaka (3) made me dream of racing SK1PY one day
Found myself worrying about when and where riders were braking etc, getting far too hooked on the track methinks :innocent:
Cool to spend the day with Charlie41 and some of the wellie crowd, will be seeing them again soon.
In the diary for next year.
Triumph Owners club need a huge :2thumbsup: for looking after the gear and the bike so well, definately worth $10

I wonder if there is any previous history of mental illness in Tracy's family?
She is FAR too nice for sidecar bob!!

Jo and Tracy looked a good team at Taupo! :niceone:

Get well soon, Astrid
