Hi everyone, I've been having some issues balancing the carbs on my flatmates zxr250.

the main issue is the bike runs like crap at the moment, they are fully out of sync, but im sure thats not the only issue - its done 90,000 and has had a hard life.

I have previously balanced carbs using a clear length of tube with some thick oil in it, and either end stuck on a pair of carbs, and balanced the vacume until the oil stays put. but this is too far out, and the oil is moving too fast to get any adjustment happening.

so if anyone has 2 or 4 guages i could borrow for an afternoon it would be great.

Cheers

Tom

i made one the same as kiwi Cowboys one, filled with compressor oil.
Works a treat.

If you make your own, use (coloured) water rather than oil.
Water is heavier than oil so for a given vacuum the column will be shorter.
But you need to be ready with the kill switch, 'cause water or oil sucked into the head isn't flash....
