Not in the least. Multi-choice is a bit like 'Transferable' voting. 1st/2nd choice.

Well you sure fucked that up by making it a multi choice poll didn't you?
It also gives the really keen contender the ability to skew the vote....it's called vote rigging. He gets as many mates as possible to vote for him while getting some to give an 'off-vote' to another. That way the really cunning contender makes it look like he's the most popular without making it obvious.
Such a person would have a dynamic mind, perhaps filled with false personal imagery.....while in charge of a very serious motorbike, out on the highways.
Such a person would be a prime candidate for an ART day. :--))

Thats what they think but my boss who earns 150k + a year rides a gt250 R. Why? Because he's on his learners. The fact that I've been riding so long and have a track focused bike only means I will be able to use a trackday more effectively. Learners should be learning basic stuff on city streets where they ride 99% of the time. IMO. Can't always judge a book by it's cover.

how ever i think that learners would learn more out of the (ART) track days, and benefit from the instructors more.

There are a few of us who would seriously benefit from doing this track day. I have not had the opportunity yet to ride on the track either, and hence have a whole side to the biking experience yet to explore.
I don't mind who wins as long as the person stands to gain some real learning and develop some new skills, not just go to the track for a fang. ;)

ART is not a track day. It is an Advance Rider Training day that has a focus on bettering riding skills through riding and also theory. There is a huge amount of theory you do on the day, including walking the track to see better lines.
Honestly Raj - you are too advance for an ART day. It would be a waste of your time and effort.

Thanks, I do have lots of room to improve though, I could do with a memory refresher and also learn a few things I don't yet completely understand. I am also coincidentally teaching a learner to ride, so think of the double benefits my attending one of these ART days will have not only to make me a better rider but to that learner doing whatever I say. Heck, I might just give the day to her and go along and watch. There is plenty of good I can do with this ticket, hence vote for me people, I promise to do good with this pass.

Yeah, great idea, give it to her. You were the one that said that the learners should be learning how to not target fixate and learn basic stuff on city streets where they do 99% of their riding. Way to contradict yourself.

Haha she's had the practice, she's done the time, she's learning from the best in the biz baby. Best you mind you own business. Besides, if I win I can choose to do it myself and impart the knowledge I gain to her and others. I can also choose to use the ART day when I think she is ready. Sending a noob down the fastest track in the Southern Hemisphere is not the best way to help their confidence. Thing about me is Thani, I've been there and done that unlike you.

Haha bull. I can think of others that are better riders, that were going to teach her, until you did something we disagreed with, and so passed the reigns to you. Are you going to teach her how to write off R6's too? And no Raj, shes done what, 1000kms or less? You are still contradicting yourself. Hiflyer deserves it more than you even if you decide to use it to teach her.

Given the number of PMs I'm getting about 'some' contenders for the free ART day I returned to view the original offer; which quite clearly asserts...
"Hi all. Today I received notice that I've won a free ART day at Pukekohe, care of the Auckland City Council Road Safety Campaign.
Anyway, given I get a fair old amount of track time I thought a reasonable thing to do would to put up this free day for someone who hasn't yet done a track-day, anywhere."
Clearly, this part of the offer has been either missed or ignored by one or two contenders. For example, Criminal (Raj) does not fit the criteria and so despite the voting outcome he cannot claim the prize.
And so, just to clear up any misunderstandings I think it only fair that only those remaining contenders who can legitimately declare, on this thread, that they HAVE NOT completed a track-day 'Anywhere' will remain as contenders.
Fair enough?

i have definetly never done a track day. as my previous post said, i got given a voucher for a track day when i was in uk as an xmas pressie, then very shortly afterwards ended up here in nz so i gave mine to a biker mate of mine back home. had to sell me bike as it wouldnt fit in the container, then after being here for 3 years, jut bought a bike 4 months ago, but due to work etc havent been out much. im like 3-4 hours from auckland and 2 from taupo, so a track day incurrs other expenses for me aswell like accomodation, i dont fancy riding all day after a 3-4 hour ride to auck etc. I thought i'd try my luck with this giveaway. what a great thing it is to do, to give an ART day away. well done, and i hope whoever wins it, takes on the board the tuition and experience and learns from it, not simply using it as a track blast fuck about.

Just to clear up any misunderstandings. If I won this pass I was going to give it to Dirty_Harri or Haymaker ( I did not want to mention these names because I need to uphold my KB image but fek it). Both riders deserve this ART day as much as any other contender. I was never going to use it for myself, despite the BS I talk on this website. Besides, you did start the poll and clearly mentioned the contenders therein. I put in considerable effort from 1 vote to 40+ to lead the voting for this track day in a matter of 2 days. I feel a bit let down, not for me but for my friend who was going to get it and she was pretty excited about doing an ART day. So NO - not fair enough. However, as it is your prize do with it as you fancy. Just stick to one story so I am not wasting my time and lifting others spirits only to let them down shortly after. Clearly the votes are representative of the situation. Every bugger on that list knows me and knows I will do good with it if I win. You may direct any questions to me via PM.

As regards you intentions, Raj, they're not really the issue.

If you'd simply notified them of the thread they could have put their own names forward and then you wouldn't have missed out on being the cool guy that helped them get a free ART track day. He clearly stated what the criteria of the person receiving the 'prize' was and you chose to ignore that - it's no one's fault but your own.
If you were still YamahaR64life rather than 'Indian Tiger' or 'Criminal' do you think he would have even put you on the voting list?
Nice try with the reverse psychology - this was always about dpex helping out noobs, not about you trying to score brownie points with hot chicks.

Please PM me with your address details so I can send the voucher to you.

Hope you have a ball.

there is no way that boy is riding your machine. But you forget sir. There is a race bike sitting in my private gargre
If my new bike is ready Im keen to do a day with him.
Yeah well, the fact is the free day has gone to Hiflyer. But I have to say I've been kicking myself silly for forgetting William before I posted the offer.
So, to make up, and seeing he's such a good kid, and seeing as I'm a member of AMCC, so I get a good rate. You book him in to a track-day, tell me the when, and I'll pay for it.
BTW: I'm slightly pleased to have you acknowledge that Old Zimmer is a 'Machine'. Oh yeah.:--)) Despite the fact that since I bought it from you I've replaced just about everything except the motor. Did I get a good deal or what???

What image do you imagine you actually have here on KB?
What a load of fucken shit. You weasel raj, you were trying to get dpex to sponsor your trip behind her panties and got snapped. Damn you are a sad bastard.
Look on the bright side, if your ruse fails it may just have saved the poor lass from a terrible stigma.
Just pay for a spot you tight arse.
