I don't know about you, but I have taken half a day off, turned my phone off, and am about to shut the laptop down.

This is a crazy time of the year and like most of you, my brain is full- there is everything from wondering about ACC, through to a national board meeting to prepare for.... yet all this can go hang. Why?

Well, I am spending the rest of the day with my wife and two wee girls getting the xmas tree ready. They are beside themselves with excitement, and I don't want to miss a moment of it (given I am away so much with work both here and o/seas).

I hope you all find some time in all this xmas madness to recapture some of the magic of xmas (whatever that means to you).

Peace.

One of my little grandaughters (Tasia aged 10) just decorated our tree for me. It is something her and her sister have done over the last few years.
You kind of lose excitement for Xmas when you don't have littlies in the house anymore, it was lovely watching her eyes light up as she pulled out the old decorations and put them on the tree.
She has done a stunning job too!

Only bothering this year for Kaydens sake.. Although he is to young to ever remember it so we'll just have to get loads of photos. Meanwhile his presents are things that we are going to need for him in a few months time anyway. And I'll be happy watching his complete facination with the wrapping paper (he's absolutely fascinated by the little pictures on the christmas wrapping paper). We still don't have a tree up yet... Have been trying to get a real one but so far that has been an epic fail.

I ran a boys home for 6 1/2 years, we never had a tree- only the xmas clothes horse. No fairy or star on top- just a cheap manky koala

The clothes horse became a tradition that my wife let me continue for the first 3 years of our marriage.

This year that same koala has taken pride of place at the top of the tree-
