If only vigilante justice were legal then the possibilites would be endless, unfortunately the laws are too soft in this country to allow something like that.

Not good to hear, Hope he gets it back.

Their are youngs guys in my area, who I see riding up and down the street no helmets, mostly little mini choppers and crapy little pitbikes, been the odd trail/MX bike as well. when your riding a MX/trail bike up and down a suburban street, does strike me as a little odd.
When my bike got stolen, cops came around took all the details, that was it, told them about the f**kers riding around and where they could be found, weren't interested.
Late Yesterday afternoon I noticed one little fucker on what looked like a Kawasaki 250 road bike, he was gone be for I could get out to check.
If it does sound like your bike or someones you know who's lost a bike of that description PM me, will keep an eye out for it.

"Motorcyclist dies after police chase"

I think "theif dies after police chase" would be more appropriate :2guns:

Yes, it is the same bike that is the subject of this thread. Unfortunately the rider has paid the ultimate price for his lack of respect. Respect for other peoples property and respect for a powerful machine.

Nah just saw it on TV, poor thing was totalled :(

At least the fool got what was coming to him. And good on the news for saying "A man died while riding the motorcycle he stole" rather than "A motorcyclist died..."

mmmm I actualy think I saw this Bike n rider at 7.30 am yesterday morning in Palmy north, I saw him twice actually at the southern end of the square were he was riding like a fuckwit, then about ten mins later on the northern end of the square where he was next to me at a red light, I thought it odd that he had shoes and no socks, and wot seemed like no gear apart from a helmet, considering the kind of bike he was on.

Ok, not 100% here but if I was a betting man I would put a significant wager on it.

complete looser of course but a looser who is now dead and a girl who is in a bad way because of him, tragic.

I hope your bike was insured dude, sorry this happened to your machine, not nice

Possibly they are. Wonder if the cops will prosecute the pillion for being on a stolen vehicle?

It happens in Africa all the time.

I've got some nice used slicks to put round bike thieves necks. Just before you add the petrol.

Hi All
Yep that was my bike. I wish i hadn't said what i did, feel bad about it now. Sure he was a theif, but now he's dead, all he was, was a young guy that made a bad decision, a bike is not worth that.
Anyway, i bet he wasn't the one who stole it, he probally just got his hands on it, but i would say that with the media attention that the person responsible will be caught.
Poor bike, looked pretty smashed up eh! At least she went out screaming as she was suposed to.
Hope that girl pulls through and thinks about her actions from now
Thanks

There was a thread about a fast dangerously riden orange bike in Waikanae last week . I wonder if it was the same bike as the guy riding the stolen bike was from Paraparaumu.

Hey Don

They were nice words to be said from someone who also lost something personal to him. Good luck in your quest to find another bike. All KB'ers have been thinking bout you through this ordeal too.

Good on you for remembering that much as we love them, bikes are replaceable.
I think this accident will be food for thought not only for the girl but for all of their friends and for some who just read about it. Lets hope it stops other foolish senseless tragedies.

You sound like you should ride a Triumph
