The VMCC are proud to announce that all you'se people who complain about not racing a Nationals round because of expense.... have just run out of excuses. Especially VMCC members. Entry fees for Round 4, Manfeild on Feb 27th and 27th are- Non VMCC $180, VMCC members $130 for all classes bar the support class (streetstock 2 and 4 stroke, and F4). The support class is $130 and $90 (VMCC members). The hope is that this pricing will encourage those who race the Actrix Winter Series to give a Nats round a lunge and fill the grids.
NO. You can't join the club just to get the discount. It is for current members as of last Tuesday when we confirmed the decision.
Also be advised that spectator entry will be free. Those wishing to show their appreciation are hereby invited to rub Skip's feet at the end of each day.
See you all there.:2thumbsup

Another great initiative by VMCC to get bums on the grid, I appluad the commitee for the decision. I'm also hopefull we'll see more bikes on the grid at every round this year.
Interestingly, I've got in my hot little hand a program from 2005 NZ TT @ Pukekohe.
Production Superbike: 26 entries, I shit you not Twenty Fucken Six. What the hell happened.......

Cheers people. We think that it's a balanced risk. If we ran with the same charges as last year we would be losing money anyway so let's get some numbers on the track and in the stands. Help us out and spread the word.

$100 or $70 depending on VMCC membership. Check our website for the entry. Edit: Short circuit.

Impossible guy. That would be faster than the speed of sound. However, I s'pose if you're not speaking the word and sending it electronically, it could be nearly as fast.
When do the entries have to be in by?
Week before race day.

Cool beans - I was looking at the entry costs the other day so this is a welcome surprise.
Does VMCC have any say over the garage costs ? They are a bit higher than usual. At those rates I think I will be bringing the tent and a gennie.

There might be a bit of commercial sensitivity involved here Deano so I can't be too specific in my answer. Also, I wasn't directly involved in negotiations with Manfeild, so I could be putting you wrong. The short answer is not really. Manfeild came to the party by reducing costs to the club in other areas as much as they could and we are trying to pass that on to competitors. We will still need numbers competing to break even.

Cheers Clive. All going well it will be my first National meeting.
Does anyone know if Round 5 has been confirmed, and where ?
I couldn't find a reference in the entry form page of the MNZ website.

Well done Clive, you and the Vic Club and MNZ are helping create a much more positive vibe around the whole series.
From new cheaper classes (600 Stock Production, Open Stock Production), to changing the calendar to include Hampton Downs, to cheaper entry, organisations and people are actually doing stuff that makes a difference.
Despite the economic gloom and MNZ ructions I reckon 2010 is gonna be a good year.....made even better when a Kiwi wins back the Superbike title!
