it feels like RMZ450 with a slightly softer powerband and lights, i feel i could race it out of the box, and Cam Smith rode it was well and thought the same thing, the thing pulls like a motocross bike, i am serioulsy thinking of getting one for my own bike, i am riding it on sunday at Harrisville to see how it goes on a mx track,

Nice pic's Scott, looked a sweet ride.

How do you reckon the RMX compares to the KLX450 ?.

scott411

the RMX is more race focused than the KLX (once it has been de restricted), more like a mx bike with lights and a button, rather than teh KLX which hs be toned down much more

Ok cool thanks. was hoping it was gonna be as cheap as a DRZ! probably a bit out of my price range. It should sell well here though. It's caught a bit of a gap in the market with the jappas. It should convince a few people out of 450 EXC-F's and into the RMX

I grew up in Turangi, couldn't wait to leave school and get outta the place! Some good riding though, head off in any direction and somewhere to ride - plenty of room down there too. Good to see you take some time off sometimes Scott.

Wrecked number two. That was a punishing ride. The boundary ride is basically a sort of invited ride for the industry as a precurser to Tussock Buster.
We spilt into 3 groups of ability(or disability) of about 30 each. Our group got to go to the far extreme of Waiouru right out to the Rangitiki river. The riding was a mix of dusty roads to extreme with some mean hill climbs(Chris Birch road down the steps of the damn to the bottom and back again). Alot of the terrain was fuckin challenging with hidden ruts, bogs and big as holes that most got swollowed up in at least once. Terrain that Scott commented on that you would never put a trail ride through.
We did this one track called the Pole track that had never been ridden before. Well not really a track but more of a "find your own way" through bogs and creeks. It was so bumpy it was like riding over judder bars for about 30k. We aptley named it the rythme section.

Yes, Tussock Buster is the ride to go on. Hero of the day was Birchy(as well as the Off Limits team) for helping so many people with his wealth of experience and knowledge. I personally learnt the easy way to undrown a bike.

This ride was by far one of the best days I've had on a bike in a long time. I couldn't stop grinning all day long even though the body started to ache towards the end.

There was every thing from fast tracks to step hill climbs, river crossings and bush trails.

The terrain is amazing and the only way this ride is possible is with the army assistance, they kept meeting up with us to keep us fed and gasses up.

A big thanks to all involved in this ride.
