Finally, LOL American comedy

I know I'm a bit slow with discovering this, but does anyone else enjoy watching The Big Bang Theory?

I laugh out loud every time I watch it. Y'know, some comedy is more the dry, quiet smirk type. This, for me, is real laugh out loud stuff.

Just like No country for old men is a great movie that didn't need cheesy action music to creep you out or let you know someone's going to get fucked up, The Office and reno 911 are good American comedies that don't need to give a cue when to laugh

Better Off Ted is bloody hilarious without the contrived Fly On the Wall-ness of The Office.

Helps if you're a corporate whore. Very Dilbertesque with multiple story arcs and geek humour and management humour and Portia de Rossi and office politics and sex with Portia De Rossi.

Yes, the yanks do have a very unfortunate knack of taking classic gold Brit comedy and ruining it!**

Having said that, there are a few American gems - e.g. Boston Legal, but they tend to be more of drama/comedy.
