So what do you race guys do for 98 octane gas (BP Ultimate) down in Southland?
My bike only scoffs the 'spensive stuff and being of BBW proportions she has a rather voracious appetite. I've arranged a chauffeur and a limo for the ol' girl down South for the National's in January in the hope that the pampering will lead to a more amicable on track relationship but I'm worried about exhausting supplies and bringing a premature end to the festivities.
It'll be a big help having someone transport my bike 'round from a spending time with my family point of view (at least they'll see me for 3-4 days in 9 weeks) but it's tricky organising and relying on other people for this sort of thing. The other (extremely fast) guy also has a superbike so between us we'd need a mini-tanker to follow us down there if we've gotta drag fuel from Dunedin. I'd just like to get my head around the fuel situation thereabouts and be able to be at least partly self sufficient and not muck him about.
I've heard a whisper that 98 is available in Winton but couldn't find anything to back this up. Is anyone able to shed a bit more light on this?
I've gotta talk to my limo driver but I just thought I better get some idea of the options. Any info/assistance would be much appreciated.
