Well those of the older generation will remember that these events were the biz. Easy flowing natural terrain that anyone could safely race on and go home absolutely buggered with a grin from ear to ear.

Guess what? Just like Jason from Friday the 13th they are coming back.

We have secured a really cool paddock (well two actually) for 27th Feb and 20th March.

Mike Wilkins and Mike Ramsey the founders of this classic have given us their blessing to hold these events as long as we adhere to the original format. That being that the races be about 1.6 minute laps giving 10 minute races. Once the last person is in then there should only be a 2 minute wait until the start of the next class. Quick fire racing.

I'll post more later but lock these dates in. There seems to be bugger all on in the way of paddock type races now that Ken Fells series has been canned over the summer so we hope to fill the gap.

Nice. I used to have an early 70s kt250 and where we lived was accross the road from a reserve, that used to be a campsite. Heaps of concrete stairways on a terrace type peice of land, that went down to a river with an old concrete structure dug in, that was a nice swimming hole. If it was wide enough to get the Kawasaki through, we went. Although the swimming hole was all filled in and I doubt that the bike would have liked it anyway.

Because the first race I did he beat me by heaps and heaps, so sort of use him as a target to see if I'm getting quicker. It's much closer now, but still not quite.

Also for the bragging rights (see redriders post) haha. and to get him off his arse and come do it (the pit tent comes in useful)

Was lucky to get an invite to ride on the 'really cool paddocks' yesterday for the Scramble. Awesome fun, lots and lots of corners, jumps and flowing bits! Great stuff Tony, thanks for that! I've tried to put up some pictures, but it's just not happening!!!!

Don't worry Rupe. Just Midget, Logan and a tractor rotary hoeing some hard packed corners. No secret practice sessions for the opposition( Redrider and that Lee Hoon fella). Berms will form in the afternoon nicely.

No not the same location. We actually put alot of time and effort into our events.

I don't know where you are going with the No jumps angle. This is an MX event and I don't remember a no jumps statement. Be a freakin boring MX with no variations.

It is however still natural terrian although we did have the implements in to take out ugly kickers etc.

You enter multiple classes e.g. Age group, CC rating, Ability (slow/old, novice, clubman, intermediate, expert, ladies) and we have a MX overs, MX unders and an all in Enduro class. Juniors 65-125 cc (3 different classes and age groups).
So you get 3-4 different races of about 10 minutes each. Quick fire, as in once the last rider is in (or near finish) then the flag goes up. If your not on the line then you miss out.
We should be able to do 2 rounds plus a feature but this all depends on numbers on the day. Possible 6-8 races.

To confirm the classes go to the website www.thesandpit.co and on the events page are the classes.

sort beat him in both races that we where both in although i didnt take spare air filter and by 3rd race bike was choking on the dust so bad back firing etc etc and rather slow off the corners i called it a day he race a good 7 races to my 3 so we gave it to him on that basis was a dam good day should be back for the next one if we have found a place to live by then.

You can't get the power to the ground with out the extra pie weight, so i wouldn't worry. And its going to get colder soon.
My form was rather good. 5 races and i only bailed 4 times.
And in my last race i was kind enough to even let my friend have a blast for the secound half of the race. ;)

How do you put photos on Buddy L? I can't se how to do it anymore!

When you reply to a tread you must select "go advanced" then you get more options, and in them you get the " Add attachements" option which is you photos. It took me awhile to figure out under the new web site layout.

Thats a mint idear, Darryl is in the prosess of setting up a website for my work (once i send him the info and pic's etc).
Had a quick look and im not photo materail.
