Yep, she hit 40,000km and it's time for a long delayed service and I'm doing it all. For those of you who also feel the need to work on your bike or just talk/learn about working on your bike, feel free to come around.

BYO fluids, but I've got a pretty comprehensive toolkitshed

EDIT: still on for the 23rd

0274054213 for address if you don't already know it.

any good shop should know and have the right filter - try cycletreads.

AJ at KTL has 4L of spectro4 for $50 for all those who don't believe that oil changes can cost less than $70

and yes, still on for tomorrow unless these carbies get friendly

GPX takes 1.9L of oil, bought 2x 1L bottles of mobil 1 full synthetic for $20 each. ;)

You have no opinions until you have a bike. An assembled bike.

My opinion that the 636 is a cool bike is also invalid.

so you paid $20 per litre for oil?!

I'm paying $12.50 per litre (and require 2.4L)

Jafa just bought 4L of Motul labelled at $65, so $16.25 per Litre (and requires nearly all of it)

Sam, I think you got ripped off there a bit....

nah, cycletreads don't have the accross on file, I know its teh OTHER suzuki filter, not the same as the gsf or gsx250rr.

Hmm, can I be bothered riding out to your house to change oil though

maybe a suzuki dealer will have it "on file" then.

Is it external or internal? if it's external you might be able to read the part number

Hmm, can I be bothered riding out to your house to change oil though

that's not the only thing you could do - and there's some good roads available for your return trip...

but as long as it gets done :)

lol, no, rather that I can do the oil at home, and will do it once I have some spare space to pull it apart

so realistically speaking, you can't do it at home.....

I can, I just need to either clear out the garage and get the cars out, or make some space in the backyard
