Sadly he got his arse soundly kicked by a couple of Kiwis at Manfield.

Well either way, Daryl Atkins' name is still on the entries for Wanganui, so i'm happy!

Clearly you weren't there then, had you been you would have realised that these two Italians are in a much higher league than the kiwi boys who won on sheer dragster horsepower on those straights, on the corners they dominated

they both rode 450s S1 bikes, they lost to 70+ hp S2 bikes.

Clearly i fucking was & watched it with my own eyes.
It sounds like it was you that maybe wasnt there.
Lazzarini commented later at the Celtic pub in Wanganui that nobody ever passed him on the outside before, Ever!!
And the straight line speed was virtually identical.

It was advertised ages ago that he was coming, but haven't heard anything since.
He is still listed on the entries though on the cemetery circuit website.
I can only hope! He was awesome last time.

You really didnt see them did you. One of the Aprilia riders in the lead pack had a wee moment exiting the hairpin & fell out of the bunch, he couldnt catch back up, not even on the straights.

Yeah I saw them I took the pics and I could clearly see the better riders where the Italians and if it wasn't for the HP of the Aprillias they would even have been in the photo frame.
Im not arguing over it but if you think our NZ boys (bless em) are in the same league you are wrong on every level, they aren't and Toby and Scotty will never be in this country, period.
You are comparing Rossi riding a SV650 sv to Sketchell on a GSXR600 with Sketchel winning, sketchel then being the better rider ?? I dont think so

I rest my case, it was the Italians first run on the track, i.e newbies and kicked arse.

Ive gotta say, after watching super motards in action on a casual basis i now cant get enough of it. The Italians were fanatstic to watch.
