Seriously, I cannot be bothered with it this year.

I hate the crowds, I hate the blocked roads and I fucking hate the endless stream of Christmas music in stores and on the radio.

Can we just skip it for 2010?

Do you have kids... ?

I chose to leave town this year! As kids are at their dads... skipping christmas can be a option... just like skipping your birthday, easter, bla bla...

Do what makes you happy!

I have found that racing at Wanganui on Boxing Day has taken a lot of 'family' stress out of Christmas.

The bike has to be scrutineered on Christmas Day so we're on the road at 9.00am. Couple of quick stops on the way to the mums' place and weyhey...

We used to have to visit three lots of family before, from Kapiti to Masterton. It sucked.

No kids that I know of. Then again the whole "fake name" thing makes that easier.

Gotta go to Whakatane to spend Christmas with the fam'. If all Christmas entailed was eating a couple of delicious animals over lunch I'd get behind it, but it's everything else.

I am the Grinch.

Don't mind getting pressies for the kids, that's what its about as far as I'm concerned.

Can't be arsed trying to find something for and having to visit random aunts, cousins, other people that have no time for me the rest of the year that still insist on doing the xmas thing.

Bah humbug.

That is what Thanksgiving holiday in the USA is like. Really lovely without all the consumer crap. Just family enjoying a nice meal together.

Starting to get into it now - it is the 23rd after all!!!!!!

Feels like Christmas at work with the 50% staff I have left and Xmas music playing.

My kids have been giving me a countdown in days for the past two weeks!

Hmmmmph! Stuck offshore with a fair few strangers, wankers, and work mates with shit food prepared by a Timorese cook with no fuggin' idea (meat pies made with sweet pastry anyone?). Best scenario is most of the guys will have a cruisy day watching movies, playing PS3/Wii, reading week old newspapers, or performing like trained seals for a simple bar of chocolate etc while a few of us keep the joint ticking over. Worst case something major shits itself and it's just business as usual.

I was over it before it began. Now the kids have grown up (ya just gotta do it for kids) we pretty much skip it. The missus and I buy prezzies when we feel like it, not when the retail world tells us to and we go and see people anytime. It's all a ginormous commercial scam.

Aside from the abundance of chocolate gifts and time with the family, the christmas thing can suck my musty balls.

Everyone trying to sell you everything you don't want, then you get given it anyway..

Next time you have a bottle of bourbon in your hand, check the spelling.

Or is it BECAUSE you have a bottle of bourbon in your hand that the spelling is askew?

With bourban the spelling would be perfect...bourban makes the world perfect. Everyone should drink bourban.

alas, I'm drinking wine so everything is skewiff!!!

Check out Death in Santaland (60min doco free download here)

http://lostwarez.com/death-in-santaland-free-download-rapidshare-hotfile-links-5419.html

was on TV last week

RTA releases an interesting documentary. This isn’t your typical snowy wonderland fairytale. Jon Ronson travels to North Pole, Alaska, to see what he can find out about a plot by a gang of 13-year-olds to murder their classmates and teachers. This tiny, freezing town is the home of the American Santa, and the local schoolchildren are his elves. Does everybody here really love Christmas, or does too much festivity bring out the need to kill
