GSX 600 F rims?

I have a GSX 600 F 1989 I'm setting up as a race bike and wanted to know if any one knows if any other rims will fit it that are a bit wider?? was thinking maybe the sling shot rims might fit but not sure?? any idea any one, or does any one have some pictures of the swing arm and rear rim i could have a look at?? oh and must be a 17" rim

erm, before you go spending money on rims which are quite expensive in desirable sizes, then you need to make spacers, maybe change bearings to fix axles, discs & sprockets.

you'd be better off starting with a CBR600 rather than, to be fair, a cooking model GSX. Harsh? How many were winning races a way back? Just pointing out racing is expensive & that's ok, but better to start off with a good base rather than throw money & if you like racing then do it again with another bike.

thanks i know what I'm doing with the rims and have the means and know how to make to spaces and have already but 2007 suspension in it as well as Flat side carbs and a heap of other goodies, just need to sort these rims.

oh well have a look on trademe, but don't expect to get any change for a k if you want decent sizes in not too crazy heavy wheels. Turning up spacers is the cheap part. Discs etc will be the money on top.
