Seriously, it's way to hot to sleep. I love riding in blue skies (no rain), bright sunshine, and a cool crisp breeze. Maybe around 16-18 degrees with a medium humidity. Right now it's way to hot and way to humid. The forecast doesn't look to be improving...AHHHH.

Oooh no, the hot is good. Hotter and drier would be even better. (Hot and humid is only good for subtropical greenhouses).
Speaking of greenhouses, mine is getting a bit out of hand - 43 degrees in there the other day. :crazy:

Ah I forgot that some are on a different heat scale.
HOT = WARMISH
TOO HOT = GETTING BETTER
SO HOT I CAN HARDLY BREATH = SAFE TO COME OUT OF THE GREENHOUSE FOR A WHILE.
Don't forget to water the plants :)

Yup, they are here tonight, still, I'm writing this post in my underwear (is that too much information?) with the fan on full, and I am toooo hot.

Actually, that's why I like the cold. You can always put on more clothes. Turn on a heater. Grab a blanket. Get snuggly. There is a limit to how cool you can make yourself (especially in an office environment). Or riding a motorbike for that matter. Unless you are really keen and ride without gear, but that's not me.

I bought a dehumidifier for $10 on TM in the hope that drier air would feel better. It tends to generate a reasonable amount of heat though. Doh. I'd love air-con. Really.

Nice and sunny down here during the day. Fiordland soaks up all the rain so we never get much to speak of (even though the weather forecast always say we do) and nice sensible night time temperatures all night.
The locals are right - Invercargill truly is New Zealand's best kept secret.

It's just as well the world doesn't have an "office thermostat". I suspect there would be wars. Isn't that why they all fight in the Middle East?

I went for a walk down to the shops today and sat down to eat an icecream by the lake. It was really nice, ducks paddling round, children playing etc.
Was only there for about 10-15 minutes and came back like a lobster.
How screwed up is it that just the simple act of going outside in summer during "burn time" without adequate sun-protection (http://iforce.co.nz/i/fargn4nd.jpg), for more than about 5-10 minutes, will result in being burned by the sun.
Is this because of the hole in the ozone layer? Did people get sunburned like this 100 years ago? You know whats even more screwed up that people getting sunburned? Pigs getting sunburned. They don't have the ability to put sunscreen on themselves, yet are as pale and burnable as a person with ginger hair. Imagine being a pig outside during summer. You would be in pain but wouldn't know what is causing it, you would be like a living piece of slowly cooked bacon.

Aint that why pigs like wallowing in mud? Kinda like cooling off, and skin protection?
