This is not an attempt to bring a message from the grave, or to sppok anyone. I (John, "flyins" older brother) wanted to express our sincere appreciation as a family for your condolonces and reflections on Sam's life. We loved Sam. He taught us all a lot about love in life, and we are learning more about his love for his friends through his death.
The funeral will be on Friday 6th of May at 11am. It will be held at "Our Lady of Fatima" church on the main road in Tawa, opposite the library. A time to meet and eat will be arranged afterwards as well.
We would be happy for anyone to come and share in this time. Sam shared his life with all of you, and we have no desire to take that from him in his death.
A convoy after the funeral sounds like it is well on it's way to being arranged, and I would encourage you guys to do that. If one of you could nominate yourself as the co-ordinator and get in touch maybe via Anatia we'd be happy to work with you. It will be out to Whenua Tapu, where we probably will have a family service. We'll keep you posted. It will be a funeral convoy, a sedate orderly time ; )
Do come together to ride, or talk , and take time together to reflect not only on Sam's life, but also your own, and the people around you who love you. My bike has no motor except my legs, but I love it, and I know that you love your bikes. But PLEASE, treat them and your families / friends with respect when you are riding.
Thank You all.
John
