Well Its Election year, and as usual the SHIT is flying in all directions
Well I've been watching keenly theese last few years. And as much as a hate to admit any kind of support for those hippy tree huggers the greens I'm afraind They seem to be the best option. basicly they're the only people who have stood up for basic human rights, and basic civil liberties, no other party has?

Your opions, And please back then up with realistic facts (no media hype, it drives me nuts)

Id have to say greens.
Or ALCP (if you know who they are then you know why)
Liberties blah blah all that.
a bit more 'down to earth' (no pun intended) than the other up in the air political parties.

and apparently they want to reduce student debt my paying 1 year of debt for every one year of work you do.

oh and theres the whole decriminalising cannibis thing. I dont do it but I dont think police should be spending so much of my money hunting it.

As much as I admire the Greens ideas I wouldn't want they governing as they are not 'well-rounded' enough to fit into the World. Good as a coalition member though.
United normally gets my vote mainly cause I see Labour as undermining everything good in the country one way or another (not stuffing it, just not doing it well).
National: where are they going? Are they going?
Maori parties: no thanks. Not on racial grounds - management ones.
Peters? Fuck off.

Really I don't like any option. It's which one do I hate the least.

I like the fact that with Proportional Rep you can mix & match a bit.
It means that if you mostly like Labour but would like a bit of Act you can aim for that (or something similar).

Hmmm, don't think I'll be so drastic over something so (relatively) unimportant.

That razorblade comment reminded me of an emoticon I want added to the list. It's hilarious. I'll try and find it and get it put on here.

Why do people always refer to greens as "Hippie Tree Huggers"?

I reckon the Greens are the best vote. They have honesty, integity and they care deeply about our country and way of life. They're not about preserving the environment regardless of the consequences. More about sustainable living and growth for all.

For what it's worth I've known some key party members for many years, I have faith in their goals and I believe them to be good people looking out for the country's best intrests.

What's happened to the Communist Party? I used to like voting for them and watching my vote come up on the big screen election night - but I always wondered who the other guy was...did I know him,was he the guy next door?...how dare he butt into my night....not often with over 3 million people you could see your vote cast.

Oh, was that you. I used to wonder who was trying to muscle in on my turf.

I asked Jock Barnes once who the other guy could be (knew it wasn't him cos he was in a different electorate), but he could only guess that it was Rob Muldoon playing a crafty one. :Punk:

By the way, about that cat of yours. Next time he comes calling, I'll have a *real* surprise for him !

Bob Anderson used to give free beers down at the GI pub - a good way for a Communist to get the vote of the working man.

My cat is undergoing mission training at the moment - no cat food...so he's out getting ''takeaways''...he'll be around at your place at ''lights out''....

Whats ALCP??

Also National said they might bring in work a year and wipe off a year of debt. I thought it was a brilliant idea, because it will actually save the country money (bet this will start a debate, but I can back it up...).

I have no idea if they will still consider it, but then nobody knows what they are doing...

btw, Labour condemned it as slave labour... idiots...

I will never vote for the greens, because although they occasionally have a good idea, it is mainly sensationalist, not well thought out, and they don't have the nouse to make all the decisions that have to be made to run a country. I reckon they would run the country into the ground.

wait, they all do that in some way... :bs:

I dont think me voting the greens wil put them into power but a bigger seat count the better IMHO.

ALCP is the aotearoa legalize cannibis party. I used to be a big supporter 2 elections ago but not so anymore. have only one goal is kinda silly.

and since im not an 'avid' smoker these days its not something that bothers me.

There is no way I'll vote for people who wear cardies and compost their own shit.
I'm old enough now to vote for Winnie. he'll sort out all you young buggers.
