Anyone watching it??
What d'ya think?
Seems like the corny bits of the British that they've taken just make it weird and cheesy.

Bit like the NZ version of the Top Gear Mag. They took all the good stuff out left behind the local content which is extremely PC and very excited about Toyota Corollas. They've given the likely 3 columns now which makes for a good scan read.

meh, it's very average.
Plus those apes thought the Mitsi Legnum was what we called a Galant here. Not true, only JDM imports have a Legnum badge, all NZ models are Galants.

They'd be more likely to get death threats from one crew or the other if they picked a "winner"

Obnoxoius ozzies imitating obnoxious but entertaining brits. Where they lacked in content and entertainment, they yelled. They yell too much...
Swoop

Hopefully it improves after the first episode...
At the very least, there were no "judges" and nobody got "voted off", so it is already streets ahead of the other crap that is infesting our TV screens.

That, Mr Swoop, appears to be a repeated Top Tip.
Yuletide Festivities are no excuse for slackness.

Have you noticed how they have a Jeremy, Hamster and Captain Slow clone? They even dress the James May character in brown. BUT where I reckon it falls over is the three are way too similar. All too smug for me and not enough strong opinions.

I have just consulted my records and it happily reports that it has not been used previously.
Unfortunately my supply is limited, unlike your own supply from Youngbiker16, who has an endless stream of material that begs to be used!

That Stiggo joke sank like a rock. Lame.
I agree with other sentiments here, they should have just made their own car show on it's own merits instead of trying to make a copy.

Yep, pathetic. I'm not sure why they had to attempt to completely copy the Brit version. Not very original and not funny. A shame 'cause I've always enjoyed the original version - particularly the specials/challenges.

Mrs. and I could only put up with the first half. All the bastards (hosts) were yelling at the television. Legnum fact was wrong (as pointed out previously).
Imitation this bad is not flattery, it's dumbery.
The presenters seemed about as lost as underwear in a brothel.
The best part was when I pushed the button on the remote to change channel. Luckily it worked.

The statistics don't lie (well, Wikipedia might, but if it is on the 'Net it must be true, right?)

They rip off the origional... and do it WORST!
Who do you recon the Aussie Stig is?
My bet is one of the Kelly boys.. He gives it away by his seating position... and the fact he is about 4' tall...

A pale and limp imitation of the original. It's hard to see what the point is, other than providing exposure for makes of vehicles only found in Australia.

Yes it does seem really limp wristed.
There's little originality and it looks like a 1970s version (apart from the cars).

Yeah it is a pretty poor blatant rip off.
But, there is something strangely compelling... to either see if it improves, or gets worse.

I watched an episode of the "New" British Top Gear season 2 on UK TV the other night.... It was the first episode... and boy was it slow and painful!
TG obviously improved with age, so... Well, na, it's made in Ozzie, so will never be good.... ;)

I reckon they need to get rid of the main man, and get in a comedian. It's not like the main guy actually needs to know anything about cars. He just needs to be funny and give everyone shit.

It will be a licenced version of the BBC's T.G. rather than a blatant rip off.
Just presented far worse. Truly crap TV.

Sent a text to a Kiwi mate in Perth last night, who like myself is a TG fan - 'Top Gear Australia - what a crock of shit!' His answer - 'A program made by Australians for Australians, enough said'
Think he's pretty well got that summed up!
