Just put in a new A grade downhill - straight down with a few fish tails to slow you down. Also a new creek section good for getting wet and cleaning the bike, pity it's half way round.

Saturday could be a go-er for me but will see how the weather is and how tired I am.
If I did, someone will have to keep an eye out for me though as all my mates would rather go to long gully - no idea why, when you could do that any week.

if i remember to pick up a fuse from repco and chuck the battery on charge then team ktm should be there.
trailor still hasn't got a warrant but what are the chances...

Theres a whole bunch of new tracks - the boys have been putting in the hard yards for the last two weeks setting it all up and cutting new tracks. Rumor is there will be a RMX 450 for demo rides for the privelliged few.

well that was a pretty damn fun blast. knew i shouldn't have eaten all the xmas ham.
loved the first section on the main loop going up the hill, sweet power slides on the pine needles but enough traction that i didn't lose it.
some boring pics at http://kaseus.net/gallery/moonshine-10-01-09. hardly saw anyone on the trail, not that many people (saturday rides are gr8!) and lots of track options, good for riding bad for pics.
if my valves didn't need some serious adjustment i'd be out there again tomorrow.

Yep - this was the ducks nuts alright. Did the ride yesterday (Sunday) and only about 25 bikes there. Awesome start to the 2010 season. Did all tracks/loops apart from the New Downhill (scared off by lunchtime horror stories) and Rutty Hill (took the more exciting Greasegun instead). Pylon Track was a beaut, as was the Top Bogs (especially after the bogs!). Well done to Justin and his crew. Thanks a bunch.

Yeah was out there aswell, good fun! Glad there wasn't too many bikes out either.
New downhill wasn't anything to be afraid of.... plenty of space and reasonable traction the whole way down, it was relatively steep tho I guess!
Top bogs has never been my favourite track as I hate being covered in mud for the rest of the day but it's worth it for the bit after the bogs huh?
I liked the newly cut "Carls Track" and the quick flow of Cooks (so much so that we went back out to sweep that side of the track twice haha).
I think poor old Secondfield will be feeling pretty knackered today, 2nd ride back after a number of months off the bike getting soft in Aus and he was definately feeling it!
We pushed him further and further until the silly bugger clipped a tree and sent himself down a bank! Riding again today mate, heading to Long gulley this arvo if ya keen haha

6 months off the bike made for a sore puppy today, I knew you buggers had it in for me :shifty: choice ride though, and damn those downhills were something else! The bank topple had me a little worried for a while - ended up 6m straight down below the main track with no one to help. Fortunately the track looped around at the bottom of the gulley and I only had to maneuver the machine through a hundred meters of supplejack and gulley before popping out the other side. Rooted me though.
Justin, Muz and co sure know how to make for a challenging and fun ride, each loop was pretty unique with some varied and testing terrain - more like an enduro really than a trailride.. those river runs were some of the longest ive encountered! great marking.

Great Photo's Pete
I Really liked seeing the Mighty Fryin Finn on the Suzuki Test Bike having one of His Famous slow speed Crashes
. Great Effort by all Helper's Running Event :)

Oi - It wasnt a slow speed crash - it was a topple. I had already stopped. You should have seen the look on the face of the guy from WMCC when I mentioned the RMX felt the same weight as the KLX when I picked it up ("what you crashed my bike?") He didn't come back on Sunday probably from fear that someone else like me would want to ride his bike.
